Bio:
Helen E. Thilly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has extensive experience working with children, young adults, and families. She worked at the University of Colorado Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS)where she provided substance abuse treatment to adolescent clients, and currently works at Children’s Hospital Colorado where she has practiced since 2007, providing therapeutic services to children and families.
At Alder Grove, Helen employs a collaborative and highly supportive approach to therapy, tailored to each patient’s particular needs and circumstances. She focuses on assisting clients gain insight into their concerns and behaviors and develop skills and strategies that will enable them to resolve the issues they face in a creative and positive manner.
Helen is passionate about fostering mental health and wellbeing and helping individuals and families achieve tangible, long-term personal success as they navigate through life transitions.
Helen was awarded a post master’s training fellowship at the Boulder Institute of Psychotherapy and Research (now InReach) focused on psychological trauma and has completed the nine-month psychodynamic training and practicum offered by CU Boulder Wardenburg Health Center.
